Malang, March 1, 2024 – PBI UMY sent students participating in the Educational Internship at the International Islamic Boarding School Thursina, which is located in Batu, Malang City and was accompanied by the Head of PBI UMY Study Program, Andi Wirantaka, S.Pd., M.Hum.

Educational Internship is one of the MBKM programs implemented and participated in by UMY. The purpose of this educational internship itself is a means for PBI UMY to provide real and educational experience for students in the field of education directly dealing with real scenarios in schools.

Mrs. Eko Purwanti, S.Pd., M.Hum., Ph.d, as the dean of the Language Education study program, commented that the International Islamic Boarding School Thursina is a suitable partner for students to hone their abilities and skills in teaching students. In general, students will be assigned as permanent teacher assistants and assist in the creation of learning materials and class conditioning.

Students’ direct interaction in the field is expected to give them the widest possible experience and insight. With this, they can become more mature in the working period after their graduation. (saa)
