SLEMAN, July 28, 2023 – Yuspayanti, a student at English Language Education Department Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY), has achieved remarkable success at the “Miss Hijab Yogyakarta” event held at Sleman City Hall. This event is part of the broader activities organized by Miss Hijab Indonesia, providing a platform for women who wear hijabs to showcase their potential and beauty.

The competition featured a total of 60 participants in the adult category (aged 18-27), orchestrated by Miss Hijab Indonesia. Yuspayanti impressed the judges and secured the 2nd place position in the Miss Hijab Social Yogyakarta category.

The event, taking place on July 28, 2023, highlighted the participants’ beauty and intelligence, with Yuspayanti standing out for her charm and dedicated pursuit of success. Sleman City Hall was selected as the ideal venue, creating an elegant atmosphere conducive to the competition.

Even though she is the only representative from her campus, UMY, Yuspayanti demonstrated resilience in navigating and excelling in tough competition. Following her victory, she expressed her aspirations for her tenure as Miss Hijab Yogyakarta.

“I hope that with this new responsibility, I can fulfill my role as Miss Hijab Yogyakarta to the best of my abilities. I also aim to maximize my potential and, most importantly, inspire all UMY students, especially those in the English Education program, to continue creating and achieving. In my opinion, nothing is impossible if we are willing to put in the effort,” shared Yuspayanti.

This accomplishment is not only a personal source of pride for Yuspayanti but also serves as inspiration for all UMY students and PBI UMY in particular to explore their potential and achieve success in various fields. Hopefully, Yuspayanti’s success can set an example for the younger generation, instilling the belief that dedication and effort will consistently yield remarkable results. (mil)
