The English Language Education Department of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta  (PBI UMY) successfully maintained its A accreditation. After its big jump back then in 2016 from C to A accreditation grade, in 2021, PBI UMY managed to get an A accreditation for the second time. This achievement is certainly a pride for its civitas academica Y as “a young” study program that proves achievements and qualities recognized by the National Accreditation Board of Higher Education (BAN-PT). 

As the head of the PBI UMY (2021-2025), Andi Wirantaka, M.Hum. stated  that this A accreditation  is a recognition of the quality of PBI UMY, and at the same time, it is also a great mandate for its civitas academica . “Alhamdulillah Allah SWT gives us this award at the end of 2021. his is the result of hard work from all parties involved. We also consider this as  a mandate that we must maintain and as our commitment to quality education services.” added Andi.

Furthermore, if we look at the history of PBI UMY, this department becomes one of the programs that is still relatively young, aged 11 years, since its establishment in 2010. Nevertheless, the predicate is not a barrier for PBI UMY to continue to be an example of an outstanding study programThe achievements achieved by PBI UMY come from the dedication of its lecturers who managed to educate their students to become quality students alumni have promising careers as educators, entrepreneurs, or students at international universities by joining scholarship programs.
