A PBI UMY Student, Muh. Muaz (2017), Launched A Poetry Anthology, Cintaku Manual (doc. Muaz)
Writing books, and even more a poetry anthology as opposed to digital media such as vlog or blog, may not be a trend for millenials. However, such stereotype does not apply to Muh. Muaz (2017). Last Sunday (12/05), he launched his poetry anthology entitled Cintaku Manual (A Manual Love). The book is a collection of poems that he wrote. The title came from his view that a mature love will take time (thus, manual) to grow as opposed to come as an instant infatuation which may not last longer.
For Muaz, writing is a means for expressing his opinion and ideas. Despite calling it as challenging, he admitted that he enjoyed the writing process. He got ideas of the poems when doing touring and hiking. Wherever he goes, he always carries small notes. Therefore, he was always ready to write whenever ideas came into him. Through writing, he hopes to help to promote literacy among youths. He also added, “I hope my book will be a beneficial book for those who read or for those who don’t read it”.
Bravo, Muaz. We hope that we will see more books coming from you in the future.
